Several years ago, my cousin was diagnosed with leukemia and through his journey I was able to meet so many strong and incredible children and their families. One mother I had the pleasure of getting to know Lorraine Tallman who had also had a young daughter who had fought pediatric cancer, has now become a family friend, and assisted my family through this process. Before her passing Lorraine’s daughter Amanda was undergoing treatment had a beautiful vision and dream to help other children in new innovative ways through her own struggle and experience. She asked her mom to carry her torch and dream long after her fight ended.
“Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels was created to honor Amanda by realizing the here and now needs of pediatric cancer care. The mission of Amanda hope is to bring dignity and comfort into the harsh world of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Amanda had dreamed of a simple design, Comfycozy’s for Chemo, and today, over 7,000 children are grateful recipients of Amanda’s dream.” With this dream, we have an amazing opportunity to share and support and truly changes lives of pediatric cancer patients in a way no one else can or has before. My hope, along with Amanda’s, is not to catch these dreams, but change them from dreams to reality. To give them the hope they so desperately need right now and to give them a positive hope and assistance and healthy affirmation. A percentage of all sales from this design will be going to support Phoenix children’s hospital and Amanda Hope. My hope is that I can help Amanda’s dream come true through my art. Help Amanda in assisting and supporting these children currently fighting pediatric cancer and let’s bring them hope and comfort in their battle.
